Virginia Credit Union Hires Former Bank CEO

Pentagon Federal Credit Union has hired a former bank executive to run one of the most active funders of military charities in the U.S.

The Alexandria, Va., credit union said Monday that Christopher Flynn had become the president and chief executive of the PenFed Foundation, which raises millions each year to finance various services for wounded veterans. It is the second-largest credit union charity.

Flynn is a former president of Primary Bank in Peterborough, N.H. He also co-founded Monadnock Business Ventures, a nonprofit economic development corporation.
