WisdomTree Investments Inc. of New York said it plans to launch the industry's first India exchange-traded fund with direct investment in local Indian securities.
The WisdomTree India Earnings Fund will be launched Friday on the New York Stock Exchange, WisdomTree said Tuesday.
The fund will select from a universe of about 150 companies included in the WisdomTree India Earnings Index.
WisdomTree had $4 billion of assets under management as of Dec. 31.
