Allied First Bancorp Inc. of Oswego, Ill., is using technology from VSoft Corp. for remote deposit capture services, the companies announced March 21.
VSoft’s technology works with a home-computer scanner or a mobile phone camera to capture images of paper checks for deposit. Its software also helps to reduce fraud by reviewing deposit thresholds.
“Our flexible remote deposit capture [services] allow Allied Bank to leverage its current technology while increasing its value to current and prospective customers,” Murthy Veeraghanta, VSoft chairman and managing director, said in a press release.
Ken Bertrand, Allied president, said in the release that “VSoft’s remote deposit capture [service] integrates seamlessly with our Internet banking system while enabling us to improve customer relations and maintain our dedication to progressive banking practices.”
Allied is offering remote deposit capture to businesses and consumers. VSoft is based in Duluth, Ga.
