Mozilla's Firefox Marketplace was created specifically for developing markets.

"Operator billing from Bango, which is ideally suited to low-value, high-volume microtransactions, and for those without credit cards, is the right technology for this exciting new store and for the future," says Richard Leyland, vice president of marketing communications at Bango, in an interview.

The initiative is part of Bango's aim to expand into emerging markets after the Cambridge, U.K. company raised more than $10 million by selling its shares on the London stock exchange.

The Firefox agreement builds on Bango's partnerships with Telef-nica Digital and Deutsche Telekom, the parent company of T-Mobile. Telef-nica offers Bango's service in Spain and Colombia, and T-Mobile offers Bango in Poland.

Bango has also launched in Venezuela, and will add other markets and in the coming weeks.
