The $28 million sale to international cash handling services company Loomis closed July 1 as originally planned, Houston-based Cardtronics announced July 2. The companies first announced the deal on May 26.

Cardtronics U.K. will continue operating its ATM maintenance and cash replenishment operations. It owns and operates more than 111,500 retail ATMs worldwide.

The company expects the transaction will scale back its revenue in the second half of 2015 by about $13 million but its impact on profits will be inconsequential to 2015 results.
