Cardtronics plans to deploy 50 automated teller machines in Haggen grocery stores.
As a term of the contract Cardtronics also has rights to service at future Haggen locations. Haggen operates in the western United States.
"As Haggen transitions from its Northwestern regional roots to a larger presence along the West Coast, it's important for us to provide a consistent, quality experience across both our new and legacy locations," said Bill Shaner, chief executive of Haggen Pacific Southwest, in an April 27 press release.
"The Haggen locations will be an attractive branding opportunity for banks and credit unions looking to expand their presence into stores that are known for a high-quality, locally relevant experience," said David Dove , Cardtronics' president of North American business, in the release.
