Chinese Bank To Issue Card With European Football Clubs

China Construction Bank later this month will begin issuing football-themed credit cards in Beijing in association with European football clubs, a spokesperson for the bank tells CardLine Global. The bank will work on cobranding deals with such clubs as Real Madrid and Liverpool, the spokesperson says. European football clubs have earned wide popularity across parts of Asia. China Construction has issued other sports-based credit cards, including one designed for golf fans. The bank, which issues Visa-branded cards, issues more than 15 million credit cards.
