Citibank Launches Card-Security Service In Singapore

IMGCAP(1)]

Citibank Singapore has launched an identity-protection service for its credit card customers, a bank spokesperson tells CardLine Global. The bank worked with United Kingdom-based Card Protection Plan and Singapore's Credit Bureau Pte. Ltd. to establish the service, called ID Protect. Customers can purchase the service for S$75 (US$53 or 36 euros) per year, the spokesperson says. The service, designed to detect unauthorized transactions and credit applications, sends e-mail alerts to customers. The service also enables customers to place fraud warnings on their accounts through the Credit Bureau.
