Co-op Financial Services, a company that provides ATM and card processing services for 2,600 credit unions, announced Wednesday that it is offering a debit card transaction-monitoring service to the 1,400 clients who use its debit-processing services. The service can help credit unions analyze debit card transactions to determine where to focus marketing efforts to increase transaction volumes and revenues, James A. Hanisch, executive vice president of Co-op, tells CardLine. The basic service is free of charge, and credit unions can make custom queries on a fee-for-service basis, Hanisch says. Based in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Co-op makes a similar service available to its ATM customers so they can see what ATMs their customers use and figure out where best to place their own ATMs, the company says.
