Metavante Corp. announced today it has signed an agreement to provide prepaid card processing to Community Bank Products, a division of FirstBank, which is based in Lexington, Tenn. Community Bank Products provides Visa-branded gift cards and travel cards to more than 1,000 community banks across the country, Milwaukee-based Metavante says in a press release. Community Bank Products plans to use Metavante's processing services to add payroll cards and general-purpose reloadable cards to its product line next year, Metavante says. Metavante will provide Community Bank Products with card-processing, card-production, and delivery and account-management services, Metavante says. Metavante also will provide call-center services and fraud protection. Metavante did not return messages for comment by deadline.
