Credit Union 24's Programs Have Saved $20 Million in Fees

Credit Union 24's surcharge-free ATM suite of programs has saved participating credit unions' individual members $20 million in surcharge fees so far this year, the company says. "Twenty million-dollar savings in ATM surcharges is unprecedented and is why we created the CU Here programs," Jim Park, Credit Union 24's president and CEO, said in a statement. Tallahassee, Fla.-based Credit Union 24 launched its CU Here programs in January for its more than 450 credit-union members. The programs are CU Here, CU Here Select and CU Here Premium. Credit Union 24 offers a range of programs so credit unions can select one that best fits their needs. "Some credit unions do not want to give up all of their surcharge-fee income," Park tells ATM&Debit News, a CardLine sister publication. CU Here Premium is the largest with a nationwide network of more than 50,000 surcharge-free ATMs. The majority of surcharge-free savings occurred within CU Here Premium, a Credit Union 24 spokesperson says.
