Element Payment Services Inc., a Phoenix-based independent sales organization, will use services from Trustwave, a Chicago-based payment-security company, as part of the ISO’s effort to improve payment security among its smaller merchants, Trustwave says today.
The effort is designed for Level 4 merchants, which process fewer than 1 million transactions per year. Element did not say how large its merchant portfolio is or how many of its merchants are classified as Level 4.
Element’s merchants will be able to use Trustwave’s services to determine their level of compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. Trustwave’s services also will recommend actions merchants can take to improve their compliance.
The agreement represents the first time the two companies have worked together, a Trustwave spokesperson says.
