RALEIGH, N.C. – The N.C. State Firemen's Association and Local Government FCU have teamed up on a "Swipe the Card, Win The Truck" sweepstakes, which will give away a 2010 Ford F1-50 XLT as part of an effort to raise money for the association.
The credit union offers a special NCSFA Visa card – every time one of the cards is used, 50% of the merchant's transaction fee is donated to the association. The card originally was launched in 2003 and has raised more than $250,000 for the association since its inception. The sweepstakes will not only help raise money for training, education and support of the state's firefighters, it also will help promote LGFCU's debit card.
The sweepstakes runs though March 31. A winner will be selected on International Firefighters Day on May 4.
