First American Appoints General Counsel

First American Payment Systems LP has appointed Alan Struble as executive vice president and general counsel, the company announced April 5.

Struble, who has represented the Fort Worth, Texas-based merchant acquirer since 2005, primarily has been in private practice since 1992, with a background in commercial litigation. Most recently, he was a partner at Alston + Bird LLP in Dallas.

“The work he has done for us thus far has been exceptional, and I have no doubt he will continue on that path,” Neil L. Randel, First American chairman and CEO, said of Struble in a press release.

Struble said he looks forward to being a partner with the company’s management team, “doing my part to operate and grow the business.”
