Harbor Community Bank has signed an agreement to receive credit card acceptance, check-guarantee and recurring-payments services for hundreds of business clients through US Merchant Services Inc., the companies announced June 16.
Harbor Community operates 15 branches in Florida and plans to open 15 more within the next year, the companies noted in a press release. The bank’s position in the market improved with the recent FDIC closings of several other large banks in Florida, according to the release.
US Merchant Services, a Port Lucie, Fla.-based acquirer, specializes in supporting merchants in the tobacco, medical, marina, salon and restaurant industries, Steve Norell, US Merchant Services director of sales, said in the release.
