Indonesia’s Bank Mandiri To Buy 40,000 Ingenico Payment Terminals

Payment-terminal manufacturer Ingenico S.A. will provide 40,000 of its EFT930G payment terminals to Indonesia-based PT Bank Mandiri Tbk under a deal the companies announced June 14.

Bank Mandiri, Indonesia’s largest bank in terms of assets, loans and deposits, aims to further penetrate the retail market with plans to order up to 200,000 units in the coming years, according to a press release. Bank Mandiri placed an order for 15,000 Ingenico terminals earlier this year.

“We have placed a high priority on creating value in our partnership with Bank Mandiri,” Bradley Prentice, Ingenico’s regional director for Southeast Asia, said in the release. “This additional order demonstrates the enhanced commitment we have worked hard to develop. We will continue to evaluate the expanding payment needs of Bank Mandiri and deliver our products and services ensuring we meet their future needs. We consider Bank Mandiri as an important strategic partner in a fast-growing market”
