Israeli Firm Leads Payoneer Infusion

The prepaid card provider Payoneer Inc. has received an $8 million investment round led by Carmel Ventures of Herzliya, Israel.

Payoneer, of New York, said it will use the investment to expand its payment service and improve its compliance technology for international payments.

The Series B investment round, which Payoneer announced Tuesday, includes investments from Greylock Partners, Crossbar Capital, and Zohar Gilon, among others. Payoneer has appointed Carmel Ventures' co-founder and general partner Avi Zeevi to its board.
