Fraud-prevention technology provider Kount Inc. is integrating with Zoovy Inc., a vendor of e-commerce software, to protect online merchants from fraud, the companies announced Sept. 30.
Within 350 milliseconds, Boise, Idaho-based Kount can analyze each transaction on Zoovy’s more than 5,000 websites and online businesses to detect suspicious irregularities, the companies said in a press release.
To perform the analysis, Kount considers hundreds of variables and uses a number of proprietary tools, the release said.
"Anybody who has really taken the time to evaluate a fully functional Kount deployment quickly realizes it's hands down without a doubt the most sophisticated fraud screen available,” Brian Horakh, Zoovy CEO, said in the release.
“Zoovy’s integration of Kount speaks to the demand for online businesses to protect themselves from fraud,” Steve Rouse, Kount chief operating officer, said in the release.
Zephyr Sports, already a Zoovy customer, already is benefiting from the integration, Bob Mullaney, Zephyr CEO, said in the release. “The integration is already allowing me to ship an increased amount of valid orders while still maintaining a high level of fraud detection," he said.
