MasterCard Worldwide is opening a "representative office" in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, a spokesperson for the United States-based card company tells CardLine Global. "The representative office will enable MasterCard to further enhance its working relationships with Vietnam-based banks, merchants and consumers," the spokesperson says. Several banks in Vietnam issue MasterCard-branded debit and credit cards. Those banks include Asia Commercial Bank, Vietcombank, Vietnam Export Import bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of Vietnam and VPBank, MasterCard says.
