NCR to Provide Cardless ATM Tech to Chinese Bank

NCR Corp. will support its mobile cash withdrawal service through China's Bank of Ningbo's mobile app.

NCR, of Duluth, Ga., provides software that allows customers to set up a cardless, PIN-less ATM withdrawal by using a smartphone camera to scan a bar code on the ATM's screen. The service will be available to more than 600 ATMs in China, according to NCR.

"With the growth of mobile finance in China, cardless cash withdrawal has become a key service offering to increase consumer convenience," said Gary Miao, NCR's president of financial services in greater China, in a June 30 news release. "More and more banks are introducing various methods of cardless cash withdrawal to create a unique customer experience."
