NXT-ID will start shipping its
The so-called smart wallet digitally stores payment card information and locks it away until it is needed. To pay, consumers must authenticate through voice biometrics, a typed password or a drawn figure on the devices screen. After unlocking the Wocket and choosing an account, users remove a plastic Wocket card to swipe at the point of sale.
The company will fulfill all Wocket paid pre-orders through May, according to an April 27 press release. After that, it will offer to sell more of its $149.99 Wocket devices to its backlog of registered customers.
Eventually, NXT-ID plans to release Wocket to the general public through retailers. Wocket is currently only available for order through the companys website.
