The New York Stock Exchange, where Diebold Inc.'s stock is traded, announced
this week it has granted the manufacturer an additional period for continued listing
and trading on the exchange. The exchange threatened to delist Diebold if it did not become current with U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission filings. Diebold has yet to file an annual report for the year ended Dec. 31, 2007
and quarterly reports for periods ended June 20, 2007; Sept. 30, 2007; March
31, 2007; and June 30, 2008.
At an investor conference held at the New York Stock Exchange, Diebold said
the company would file the reports this month. Exchange officials say North
Canton, Ohio-based Diebold can remain listed and traded until Oct. 31, 2008.
