Panama-based Epay Inc., which sells online payment and funds-transfer services, said this week it had launched a prepaid card service designed for businesses. The MasterCard-branded cards enable businesses to avoid foreign-exchange conversion fees, the company says, adding such fees can cost 3% per transaction. The cards cost US$4.99 each (3.60 euros), and can be loaded with up to US$10,000, the company says in a statement. Companies can use the card for a variety of transactions and payments, including pensions, travel, remittances, and mirco loans, Epay says.
