Pemco Technology Services Inc., an arm of Pemco Corp., is offering a new set of prepaid cards to credit unions and banks, the company announced this week. Based in Seattle, Pemco sells such services as credit and debit card processing, cardholder rewards, fraud prevention and ATM support to banks and credit unions, Scott Perry, Pemco director of marketing, tells CardLine. Pemco previously sold prepaid cards, but the company redesigned its program to add new cards, Perry says. Pemco will offer gift cards, travel cards, reloadable cards and prepaid cards designed for youth, he says. Pemco will sell the cards, but Meta Payment Systems, which is based in Sioux Falls, S.D., will process the card transactions, Perry says. MetaBank, which is based in Storm Lake, Iowa, issues the cards.
