Pentagon Federal Credit Union has introduced another rewards credit card, the PenFed Platinum Rewards Card.
Cardholders earn five points per dollar spent on gas purchases, three points per dollar spent on supermarket purchases, and one point per dollar spent on all other purchases.
With its Platinum Rewards Card, cardholders earn points they may redeem for merchandise, travel, merchant gift cards or Visa prepaid cards, Alexandria, Va.-based PenFed said in a news release.
Other card features include no annual or foreign transaction fees and a variable 9.99% purchase annual percentage rate capped on all new purchases through June 30, 2014.
New cardholders also may earn up to 25,000 points within the first three months of obtaining the card, and they receive 5,000 points for their first purchase and 20,000 more points if they spend $1,000 in the first three months.
