PerkStreet Switches To MasterCard Products For Its Rewards Program

PerkStreet Financial will offer MasterCard Worldwide financial products through its checking-account rewards program, switching fewer than 50,000 debit cards away from Visa Inc., the Wilmington, Del.-based financial-services company announced Dec. 21.

“We chose MasterCard as our exclusive card partner because of our companies’ shared commitment to innovation and helping consumers get more from their financial relationships,” Dan O’Malley, PerkStreet chief executive, said in a press release.

PerkStreet’s debit cardholders will have access to thousands of merchant offers and exclusive discounts through MasterCard Marketplace, a website where cardholders can redeem rewards. The Bancorp Bank issues PerkStreet’s cards.
