PreCash Inc., a Houston, Texas company that offers consumer and commercial payment systems, has named Blair Jeffery its new chief operating officer.
Jeffery has been with PreCash since 2010 and was most recently senior vice president of sales and business development. Jeffery will oversee PreCash's day-to-day operations, according to a Jan. 28 press release from the company.
"Blair Jeffery has been instrumental in delivering products that meet the needs of our customers and partners the past four years," PreCash chief executive Steve Taylor said in the release. "The payments landscape is evolving and Blair is the right person to help guide our product and business strategy in this exciting time."
According to PreCash, Jeffery oversaw the launch of a new mobile payment app, Evolve Money, for use with Android and iOS phone operating systems, as well as personal computers.
A payments industry veteran of 18 years, Jeffery has also served as director of e-commerce for First Data and vice-president of operations at Textura Corp., a company that develops software for construction firms.
