Ritz Interactive Inc. says it is using payment-processing technology from Merchant e-Solutions Inc. to support its more than 18 Web sites, which include RitzCamera.com and Wolf Camera.com. Ritz began using the service a few months ago but only recently made the deal public.
The product enables Irvine, Calif.-based Ritz Interactive to accept Web-initiated credit, debit and alternative payments, such as PayPal and Bill Me Later, according to Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Merchant e-Solutions. The product bundles payment-authorization, settlement and transaction-reporting capabilities, Merchant e-Solutions says.
Ritz Interactive also is using Merchant e-Solutions’ tokenization service to mask sensitive payment data with a unique code. A Merchant e-Solutions spokesperson would not say how many annual transactions it expects to process for Ritz Interactive. The company says more than 65,000 merchants use its processing services.
