Banque Saudi Fransi, a Saudi Arabia-based bank, says it now has six self-service bank branches following the completion of a successful pilot involving three other branches in Riyadh, the kingdom's capital. NCR Corp. designed the branches, which feature the ATM maker's Selfserv Series 22 and 32 multifunctional ATMs, an NCR Selfserv Series check-deposit terminal, NCR financial kiosks and a telephone that connects the caller to the bank's customer-service center.

Users of the self-serve branches can pay bills, make international funds transfers, withdraw cash and receive credit card cash advances. The kiosks also provide information on initial public offerings.

Branch design is becoming an important part of Dayton, Ohio-based ATM manufacturer's business, a spokesperson says. "NCR worked closely with Banque Saudi Fransi to design flexible self-service and manned branches for Banque Saudi Fransi's combination of existing and newly purchased and leased premises," Charlie Rohan, NCR director of the consumer experience, said in a statement.

Banque Saudi Fransi opened the self-service branches, which its calls the "Fransi Connection," in shopping centers and business districts, say bank officials. ATM
