Shazam Issuers Now Set Up With Acculynk

Acculynk Inc.’s PaySecure online PIN-debit payment system is now compatible with banks and credit unions on Shazam’s electronic funds transfer network, the company announced March 29.

Shazam tested the Atlanta-based vendor’s system in the fourth quarter of 2010 and said nearly all eligible cards would be made compatible with PaySecure this month.

The Johnston, Iowa-based network in January also made a “strategic investment” in Adaptive Payments, a payment-authentication company that has developed technology that uses any mobile or landline phone to help verify Internet PIN-debit transactions conducted at participating merchant websites (see story).
