Sri Lanka-based Seylan Bank reportedly will work with South Korea-based Korean Exchange Bank to provide remittance services for migrant workers in South Korea. Neither bank provided immediate comment to CardLine Global about the report, which appeared in the Sri Lankan press. The service would enable migrant workers from Sri Lanka who are working in South Korea to send funds via mobile phones or ATM transfers. To use the service, workers must establish accounts at both banks, the report says. The banks provide free mobile phones to workers who register for the service.
