The Columbus, Ga.-based company on Oct. 20 announced the signing of a multiyear deal with Canada’s Bank of Montreal to provide account processing and other services for its consumer and commercial credit card portfolios. Bank of Montreal is Canada’s largest MasterCard issuer.

TSYS simultaneously announced an agreement with Swisscard AECS AG, a joint venture of Credit Suisse AG and American Express Co., to provide the operation with consumer and commercial credit card processing and other payments-related services. Swisscard manages a portfolio of approximately 1.2 million cards associated with the AmEx, Visa and MasterCard brands, according to TSYS.

The processor on Oct. 18 announced an extension to its agreement with Bank of Ireland that began in 2004. The multiyear agreement encompasses consumer and commercial card processing, and TSYS also now will provide the bank with account servicing and management for its operations in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
