TSYS Promotes Many Executives to New Roles

Total System Services Inc. has named Gaylon Jowers Jr. and Mark D. Pyke senior executive vice presidents, part of a series of promotions and additions the payment processor announced today.

Jowers, who joined Columbus, Ga.-based TSYS in 1991, also serves as president of TSYS' International Services division. In his leadership roles, Jowers has been responsible for the company's debit, prepaid, loyalty, debt management, e-commerce, global sales, corporate strategy and marketing initiatives.

Pyke, who joined TSYS in 2010, is also president of TSYS' Merchant Services segment. He also chairs of the board of Central Payment Co. LLC, a TSYS joint venture focused on direct acquiring.

In other management moves, Dennis Jones will serve as executive vice president of business operations for international services. Jones has led many large-scale TSYS operations across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the U.K. and the U.S., managing portfolio strategy and performance, acquisitions and joint ventures, sales and marketing.

David E. Wood, who joined TSYS in 2008 as chief operating officer, will serve as the executive vice president of business operations for merchant services.

Richard J. Machold will serve as the company's chief audit executive.

Eric Barth will be group executive of product management for merchant services. Barth has been in a leadership role for product management since 2010.

TSYS also named Wallace K. Brown Jr. as group executive and senior associate general counsel to oversee legal affairs related to the company's North American segment business development.

Other changes include Robert E. Leary becoming group executive of business operations for merchant services; Jody B. Lee becoming group executive of information security; Michael L. McKitrick as group executive of compensation, benefits and HR technology; Susan M. Sheen as group executive of marketing, communication and business support for merchant services; and Ian Thompson as group executive of human resources for international services.
