Tuxedo Money Plus Ltd., a prepaid card provider in the United Kingdom, says it has launched its first corporate prepaid card in the UK. The card carries the MasterCard Worldwide brand. UK-based Newcastle Building Society issues the card. The card enables users to block and unblock the card via a Web site or text message, Tuxedo says in a statement. Corporate officers can add or subtract value from the card. Tuxedo officials did not respond to CardLine Global requests for comment. By the end of 2009, Tuxedo hopes to have 100,000 total active card accounts, a company spokesperson previously said.
