Consumers from the United Kingdom tend to use ATMs more than credit and debit cards when on holiday to get cash, suggest survey results from Level Four Software Ltd., a UK-based ATM software company. Level Four based its findings on survey responses collected in June from 2,000 British consumers, a company spokesperson tells CardLine Global. Thirty percent of surveyed consumers said they preferred using ATMs to get cash while on holiday while about 17% said they preferred using credit and debit cards. Other respondents said they preferred using travelers' checks, prepaid cards and other methods. About one-third of respondents who preferred ATMs said they were not aware of how much their financial institutions charged them to withdraw cash from ATMs outside the UK.
