UniRush LLC Adds Online Tracking, Rewards To Its Cards

UniRush LLC is adding more options to its prepaid RushCard and Baby Phat Card to enable cardholders to track their monthly spending online and to earn extra money through its refer-a-friend program. At a redesigned Web site, RushCard holders can view money-management pages to track their spending, deposits and balance trends, according to a UniRush statement. The Web pages also will offer discounts in the categories where the cardholder spends most frequently. Cardholders earn $10 on their accounts after a referred friend or family member activates a card and enrolls in direct deposit. The new cardholder also receives $10. Last month, Cincinnati–based UniRush gave cardholders the option of building their credit histories with the cards. It also enabled them to receive text alerts to view balances, deposits and transactions (CardLine, 10/20).
