TransFirst In NBT Bank Deal

TransFirst Holdings Inc., a Hauppauge, N.Y.-based processor, has signed a merchant referral agreement with NBT Bank of Norwich, N.Y., TransFirst recently announced.

NBT merchants using TransFirst will have access to TransAction Central, a Web-based centralized payment processing system, and to TransLink, TransFirst’s Web-based reporting and management system.

 

ControlScan Adds PA-DSS Compliance Reporting Product

ControlScan Inc., an Atlanta-based payments-security company, says it has added a Payment Application Data Security Standard reporting tool to its suite of products.

Acquirers can use the tool to view the segmentation of their merchant portfolios by payment application type and identify those that are PA-DSS compliant, ControlScan says.

 

Tasq Joins Epson Program

Tasq Technology Inc., a Rocklin, Calif.-based point-of-sale equipment distributor, has joined Epson America Inc.’s Envision program. Envision gets Tasq early access to Epson products and additional marketing support. Epson America is based in Long Beach, Calif.

 

Sage Renews TSYS Processing Deal

Sage Payment Solutions, a merchant-services company with more than 155,000 merchants, has renewed its processing deal with TSYS Acquiring Solutions, a unit of Total System Services Inc., a Columbus, Ga.-based payment processor, TSYS announced July 19.

Sage, based in McLean, Va., has worked with TSYS Acquiring for 13 years, says a Sage spokesperson. TSYS Acquiring provides authorization, settlement and terminal-deployment services to Sage under terms of the new agreement, which is for five years, Sage says.

“Renewing the contract also indicates a willingness by Sage to partner with TSYS on the new products and services being developed by TSYS,” says Greg Hammermaster, Sage president.

Sage reviewed two other processors but chose to stay with TSYS because of the existing relationship and pricing, the Sage spokesperson says, declining to name the other processors.
