Payment technology seller Worldnet has partnered with hardware firm ID Tech to market EMV acceptance for unattended points of sale.
Companies using First Data's payments network through unattended kiosks and other settings can now accept EMV payments through the ID Tech hardware and Worldnet software. ID Tech's VP3300 hardware is one of its top sellers for the unattended sector and is part of the company's IoT push.
“As unattended retail options expand into higher end products, it is critical that merchants can offer credit, debit and contactless payment options that provide the highest level of security available to any point of sale,” John Clarke, head of product innovation at Worldnet, said in a Monday press release.
Worldnet is responding to a rapid transition in consumer payment behavior by collaborating with fintech developers to boost flexibility for merchants.
“ID Tech’s line of products like the VP3300 OEM is created to ensure our customers are given the opportunity to accept multiple forms of payments, especially as the unattended space continues to evolve,” Bill Rorick, vice president of business development at ID Tech, said in the release.
