Yucheng Technologies Ltd. has signed a deal to establish a credit card call center and fraud-tracking system for China Minsheng Bank, according to Beijing-based Yucheng. The system will enable Minsheng employees to access a wider range of data on the financial institution's credit card customers when they call for help. The call center will have space for at least 600 employees, three times the current amount, the statement says. Last year, Yucheng won a contract to install, maintain and service point-of-sale terminals for the Bank of Communications, also based in China (CardLine Global, 28 April 2008). Minsheng recently launched a credit card carrying the brand of Japan-based JCB and says it plans a service through which customers can pay their utilities by credit card.
