Zapper clients can print QR codes on their paper or electronic invoices. When a customer scans the code through Zapper's app, the app prompts for approval of the payment, which is charged to a card on file.

"We wanted to create a system that was of great benefit to customers and businesses of all sizes, leveraging the powerful technology that we all already carry around in our pockets," says Bradley Duke, Zapper's European managing director, in a Sept. 19 press release.

Zapper charges a fee of 2.7% plus £0.20 for each successful payment. Its app runs on Android and iOS devices.
