    NCUA Hosts Webinar For Low-Income CUs

    ALEXANDRIA, Va.-With as many as one-fifth of Americans considered underbanked or unbanked, NCUA hosted a webinar last week for low-income credit unions (LICUs) during which it urged CUs to reach out to this market. NCUA Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives Economic Development Specialist Vanessa Lowe led the session and called on LICUs could re-examine their membership composition and product menus to uncover both markets not being served and current members whose needs might not be met.
