Wallets 101 for banks: The foundation of every digital asset use case
Digital asset innovation begins with one core building block: wallet infrastructure. In this session, we'll break down what wallets actually are in a banking context, why they matter, and how they enable a wide range of use cases—from stablecoin payments to tokenized deposits to custody services. We'll cover key concepts like account structure, signing models (MPC, HSM, custodial vs. non-custodial), and how wallets integrate with existing banking systems. You'll leave with a clear mental model for how wallet architecture underpins every digital asset strategy—and how banks can adopt it without redesigning their core systems.

Practical digital asset use cases for banks
With wallet infrastructure as the foundation, banks can unlock a broad spectrum of digital asset opportunities. This session breaks down the four highest-impact use cases emerging in the market today: stablecoin payments, tokenized deposits, crypto brokerage, and simple tokenization of securities. We'll clarify when each model is appropriate, how they differ operationally, and what's required to support them within existing banking systems.

We'll explore how banks can use stablecoins to improve settlement speed and liquidity, how tokenized deposits fit into balance-sheet management and new payment flows, and how brokerage-style offerings can introduce customers to digital assets safely. We will also cover straightforward tokenization approaches—such as issuing or holding tokenized versions of securities on-chain—to enhance settlement efficiency and broaden product access without overhauling core systems.

Speaker: John Hallahan, Director, Business Solutions for Banks

Bringing it all together: Architecture, infrastructure & security for digital assets
In this final workshop, we bridge strategy and execution. We'll walk through the essential infrastructure components required to operate stablecoins, tokenized deposits, and digital asset services safely and at scale. Topics include environment segmentation, policy and approval design, signing infrastructure, connectivity to blockchain networks, and security frameworks for production environments. The goal is to give IT, security, and business leaders a shared view of how digital asset systems fit into the bank's existing stack—clarifying what can be built in-house, what can be partnered, and how teams should think about readiness and roadmap planning.
