Tri-Continental Dividend
NEW YORK - The directors of Tri-Continental Corp., the nation's largest diversified, publicly traded, closed-end equity investment company, declared a third-quarter dividend of 19 cents a share from net investment income on the corporation's common stock.
The dividend is payable Oct. 1 to common stockholders of record on Sept. 20, bringing total dividends for the year to 55 cents a share.
The House Financial Services Committee also sent to the full House two bipartisan bills, including one that would prevent large banks from opting out of having to recognize Accumulated Other Comprehensive Income in regulatory capital.
