Mortgage delinquencies fell in June.

NEW YORK - The Federal National Mortgage Association reported that the delinquency rate for conventional single-family mortgages dropped to 0.58% in June, from 0.60% in May.

Fannie Mae attributed the June level, near the historical low of 0.57%, to "good underwriting" procedures and an average 28% down payment on outstanding mortgages.
