Prior to her two-year stint at Baltimore's Alex. Brown, Ms. Flannigan was with Paine Webber - but not at its New York headquarters. "I was always the oddball who lived in Houston," she said.
Now she's in New York, as a first vice president at Merrill, splitting coverage of regional banks with Livia Asher. Details of coverage are still being thrashed out. Judah Kraushaar will continue to follow money-center banks and many superregionals.
