EDS, credit union in software deal.

Electronic Data Systems Corp. of Plano, Tex., has agreed to provide computer services to American Electronics Association Credit Union of Sunnyvale, Calif.

As part of the agreement, the $305 million-asset credit union will use EDS software called Flagship Premier On-Line System, which runs on mainframe computers, to record and store lending and financial information

EDS will also install networks with a total of 230 personal computers in the headquarters and seven branch offices of American Electronics. EDS will also put an AS/400 midrange computer from International Business Machines Corp. in the credit union's headquarters. The machine will run electronic mail and office automation software.

Next year, EDS will deliver software to the credit union that stores pictures of signature cards that American Electronics employees will use to verify signatures.

The value of the contract was not disclosed.
