Liberty National declares 13-cent dividend.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Liberty National Bancorp said that as part of its recently announced agreement to be acquired by Banc One Corp., its board has declared a dividend of 13 cents.

The company said the dividend is equal to two-thirds of the 17-cent regular quarterly dividend it would normally pay in February.

As reported, this action was taken to synchronize Liberty's dividend dates with those of Banc One, which customarily pays its dividends at the end of each calendar quarter.

Last month, Liberty announced its plans to join Banc One. Pending shareholder and regulatory approval, the merger is expected to be completed in mid-1994.
