Ex-Crocker Chief Thomas Wilcox dies at 76.

DERING HARBOR, N.Y. -- Thomas R. Wilcox, former chairman and chief executive of Crocker National Corp., died on Monday of cancer. He was 76.

Mr. Wilcox began his banking career in 1934 and rose to a vice chairmanship at Citibank in New York. In the 1970s, he moved to Crocker National Bank in San Francisco and was chairman of Crocker National Corp. before it was acquired by Wells Fargo & Co.
