Market Street Mortgage Group, Phoenix, said it would be using a fax-based mortgage prequalification system from Creative Solutions Group Inc., Atlanta.
Prospective borrowers answer a few simple questions, and the responses are analyzed by a computer that accesses credit reports and provides the prequalification along with suggestions about appropriate loan amounts. Service is available 24 hours a day, Market Street said.
It plans to use the system to establish relationships with real estate agencies and builders "without opening new offices or hiring additional personnel," said Barbara Van Antwerp, senior vice president.
