Mortgage, real estate, loan, and asset information provided by Gruntal & Co.'s structured asset sales group will be electronically distributed through the Knight-Ridder Financial Inc. network to 30,000 system subscribers.
The Gruntal group handles the secondary marketing and securitization of performing and nonperforming assets for private institutional buyers and sellers, the Resolution Trust Corp., and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.
The system was developed by Asset Market Dam.
Any subscriber with a Knight-Ridder terminal can access, manipulate, analyze, and evaluate data using their own spreadsheets.
Anyone with an IBM-compatible personal computer may also retrieve Gruntal's data by requesting an authorized dial-up disk.
Investors can bid electronically on assets offered by the group using a PC modem or regular telephone.
